Call The Law!

I found this little gem today - A B-side to "Money Don't Matter Tonight" by Prince, called "Call The Law". Suck it down the pipes, open the lyrics, up the woofer, wear a beret sideways, bling yourself like Bell Biv Devoe and BREAK! (boyyyy).

Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou

Imagine it back then...

Billboard Top 100 - Dec 12, 1987
#1 - Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou - Faith

These days, charts mean nothing. Kenny Goss and his many homes keep him happy. He's recording with Paul McCartney and is still making music where anyone can download it, if you donate to a charity.

I've been very well remunerated for my talents over the years so I really don't need the public's money. I'm not pretending I won't be famous any more, but in the modern world if you take yourself out of the financial aspect of things, you're not making anybody any money, you're not losing anybody any money. Believe me, I'll be of very little interest to the press in a certain number of years. I'll hopefully be a happier man, giving my music and also doing something really positive with my music if people are generous enough to donate to the site. I'll remove myself from all that negativity. - George Michael

How does it feel to donate direct to a charity, and recieve a link to download a George Michael track in return?

Click the paypal button below and pretend you're donating NZ$10 to a charity, and you will be taken to a page for a digital download. You'd really have to be a fan of George Michael to do this. He's just found a way of getting music out there, with no pressure by record companies. He has been so picky, that often he would change labels for just one single. Click the button (before Jan 23, 2006), I assure you its safe.

In the meantime, you might want to know the latest George Michael news.

Epsomite

A song for Rodney Hide, if he decides to walk the streets and collect for the 2006 census in his liberal Epsom electorate.

It would be both super annoying having him door knocking again, and a great PR stunt (the way he likes it). Just keep our details confidential. You can do that...
..."Don't Tread On Me" flag anyone?

From the moment that you met me

I recently met Ryan and Betty Anne from Ardijah, recording some vox pops (promotional recordings) for their upcoming Timeless Tour over February / March 2006. Betty Anne was even lovely enough to sing me some acapella lines from Watchin' U and Time Makes A Wine (two of their classics from the 80s). She has such a warm, soulful and bitingly honest tone in her voice. When she curls some notes around, ohhh you just shiver...

This is one of my favourite Ardijah songs, remixed by the ever inspiring Soane. Enjoy - and buy tickets to the shows!
